Both of my Great grandparents - Nicolaus Weber and Katerina Fisch - came from the same small town in Germany. It is called Irsch and is located near the ancient city of Trier and the small country of Luxemburg. (see map)
Once I knew the town in Germany where my ancestors came from, I went to the local Family History Center in Brentwood, which is operated by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormons). The Mormons have an extension microfilm collection of genealogical data; including local church baptism, marriage, and death records. I requested Microfilm of manuscripts from the Catholic church in Irsch, district of Saarburg. After pouring through the microfilm, I compiled a family tree and posted on a separate website, that I called "Webers in Irsch".
