Explanation

In the beginning, I kept my family tree locally, on my personal computer. As I did research and gathered more information, I would update this local family tree. With sites like Family Search, it didn't make sense to keep a local family tree updated. So, a few years ago, I migrated/merged my local family tree into the FamilySearch Family Tree website (familysearch.org).
